Where to Eat

Whilst staying at The Pig Sty why not sample the local cuisine? There are plenty of lovely places to eat out locally whether you want Pub Grub, Fine Dining, Chinese, Indian, Thai, or just a simple Carvery; .

In the next village to us, approximately two miles away is The Cross Keys. This is a village pub with a restaurant serving good food at good prices. It also has Sky T.V. for those interested in watching big sports events!
No more than a ten minute drive brings you to the village of North Thoresby. There you may dine at The New Inn; a cosy pub with a restaurant attached which offers great homely fayre with good portions at reasonable prices. There is also The Halfway House which is situated on the main A16 Grimsby Road. There you can cook your food yourself at the table on a lava rock, or relax and let it all be cooked for you in the kitchen. Either way you can be sure of a lovely meal with good customer service, and their steaks are particularly good.
A short drive in to Louth opens up a wide choice of restaurants, too many to mention here. However, there is a particularly good Chinese restaurant, The Tai Pan, and next door to that an Indian restaurant, The Bollywood. If you are happy to travel further afield for something really special there is a fine dining restaurant in Horncastle called Magpies. If you have a celebration or want something a bit more refined then this is the place to go!
Towards Skegness is a village called Burgh le Marsh which houses another favourite and award winning restaurant called The Windmill. Nestling next to a real working windmill you can’t miss it! The Windmill Restaurant has won many awards year upon year, uses fresh local produce, offers you the opportunity to sample culinary delights, all deserts are homemade and all the staff are trained to know about the food they are serving. There are early bird deals, a great menu with regularly changing specials as well as theme nights, and a great wine list. It is the place to go for that romantic meal, a special dinner or quick lunch. Tastefully decorated and in a lovely position, this is one restaurant not to be missed if you want to know what Lincolnshire food is all about. This is great Lincolnshire food at its best!
There are many more places to eat as we are spoilt for choice, but if you want anything in particular please just ask and we will advise where we can and make bookings for you if required.
